It’s been 12 months since Megan from Empire Wardrobe helped me take control of my overflowing clothing situation.

So many impulse buys, so many faux pas and online mistakes! Megan asked me lots of questions, asked me to try on every item and piece by piece I could see my own personal style coming back. I felt like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders. Too many clothes too many choices and too much time wasted trying to find something with the old ‘I have a wardrobe full of clothes but nothing to wear’.

Megan also took me shopping, she had already put things aside so no sucked into the sales rack, being overwhelmed or sidetracked by panic buying. We stuck to my budget, I found new styles that suited my shape and style. After 12 months I have changed my habits, and am really happy with my ‘less is more’ wardrobe.

Megan, I can’t thank you enough, you did so much more than edit my wardrobe.

I am not usually a dress person although I love them. Megan made my experience pressure-free and fun. It is usually a very depressing time for me when looking for a dress, so when my daughter recommended Megan I was nervous to start with but quickly relaxed after our first chat.

Her time & research beforehand made it so easy for me; I’m not usually one for this type of attention but Megan made me feel like I was with a girlfriend for the day. The dress I chose for my daughter’s wedding is stunning.

We went to Forever New cause, and I quote, “Megan said it’s not just a skinny shop, so let’s go there first”. You really have no idea how much you helped her and gave her the confidence. We went into City Chic, she picked the colours out according to your help, and she couldn’t decide so, she bought both 🙂

You recommended a boho pinkish-type top from Picnic which I have flogged to death. (I’ve even lost the tassels off it…well one broke so I cut the other one off).

Anyway, I had 3 compliments today about how I looked and I thought this top almost needed to be used as home PJs but I had to pass on the compliment to my mate Megan because you recommended it to me (apart from the wedding day I’ve never received that many compliments).

Hope you are going well. Just thought I would drop you a text and say thank you. I’ve been reflecting on the last year and I think you were an integral part of me changing how I thought about clothes. It’s been almost 12 months and 30kg. To say it’s been life-changing would be an understatement. I run. Lift weights. Have so much more energy.

I’ve got to a point where I have stopped mindlessly buying clothes and am happy to work with what I have. I’ve stopped looking for the elusive outfit to make me feel better. I still tend to gravitate to navy blue but there’s more colour. And definitely, styles that I would never have tried without your guidance. I still struggle with sizing but I do use the change room a lot more these days. And when I do I generally have a little voice in my head that says “What would Megan say”.

So essentially you’ve created my wardrobe from a distance. I love that things work together. Thank you for your endless patience and advice.
